TISSUES

The study of tissues is called Histology

A tissue is made of a group of similar cells, acting in a co-ordinated manner.
The main types of tissue are:

• Epithelium - lining tissue

• Connective tissue - connection and support

• Muscle

• Nervous tissue

• Blood is also considered to be a tissue.
