Oestrogen

• Brings about the repair of the endometrium (uterus wall)

• Inhibits the production of FSH.

• Consequently the level of FSH drops.

• This, in turn, leads to a drop in oestrogen levels.

Low levels of FSH and oestrogen cause the pituitary to start producing LH
